Selfe may have created a book that is a little too long and detailed. What I find interesting is that I believe that it really is important that we are dragged through the overly excessive details because it makes us pay attention to what her main points are. I think it might be an underlying part of what we need to pay attention to. We aren't only paying attention to the facts Selfe gives us, we are paying attention to her presentation of it as well.
